Now more than ever Captain Morgan is proud and honored to be in partnership with Major League Soccer and remains committed to supporting MLS. To coincide with this week’s MLS Unites initiative, MLS Unites for Those in Need, Captain Morgan is pledging an initial donation of $500,000 (US)** across the USA and Canada to assist local MLS communities affected by COVID-19 through our club partners’ charities of choice. Each local charity is focused on providing meals and relief to COVID-19 frontline workers and to those most affected in the surrounding communities.
**To be split evenly among charities listed below.
THE CAPTAIN’S CHALLENGE
While we can’t all be together rooting for our favorite MLS club right now, we can still keep the MLS spirit alive. Captain Morgan is challenging you to nutmeg someone or something at your home and post it on Instagram. What do we mean by nutmeg? The aim is to kick a soccer ball between someone’s legs without them knowing. Don’t have a soccer ball at home? No problem. You can use a pair of socks, a roll of TP, a balled-up T-shirt; almost anything you have laying around. All we ask is that you do so safely and responsibly- see our tips in Nutmegging 101: Do’s & Don’ts below!
There’s More Fun to Be Had with Captain Morgan, so we’re teaming up with TV commentator and MLS legend Taylor Twellman to commentate over select submission videos, so get your submissions in!
Starting Tuesday, April 21 and through Tuesday, May 5, for every qualifying video you (21 and over) share to your public Instagram, in feed or stories, tagging @CaptainMorganUSA and including the hashtag #CaptainMorganDonation, we will donate an additional $25 (US) to our local MLS charity partners, up to an additional $50,000 (US).†
So if you’re over 21, get to nutmegging. Please do so safely and responsibly, Captain’s Orders.
†The Captain’s Challenge intended for U.S. residents, 21 years or older only. The additional amount raised up to $50,000 (US) will be split evenly among the charities listed below.
